As Lara (Corinna Harfouch – Downfall) celebrates her 60th birthday, her son Victor prepares for the most important piano recital of his career. Even though everyone else already received their invitation for the event and Victor is nowhere to be found, Lara stays on course. She decides to resolve matters in her usual unorthodox way. This intriguing study of a mother-son relationship is the long awaited second film of one of the most acclaimed directors of his generation, Jan-Ole Gerster (A Coffee in Berlin – European Film Award for discovery of the year). Lara won awards for Best Actress, Special Jury Prize and the Ecumenical Jury Award at Karlovy Vary.
