Sarajevo Film Festival – selection of films from BH Program

Sarajevo Film Festival once again comes for a visit to Zagreb Film Festival, bringing a collection of short films created in B&H in the past year, which screened in several SFF programs. Two titles arrive straight from the main shorts competition: the short live-action film, The Pit, and the animation short, Natural Selection. The Pit, directed by Alban Ukaj, problematizes war crimes and their treatment in society from today’s perspective, while Natural Selection, by author Aleta Rajič, offers a layered and fresh look at the topic of difference and otherness. The other three films arrive after collecting awards in the BH Film program, in which they competed for the title of the Best Student Film of 2019. Two films, Costacurta (A Tale of Satankrajina), by Saša Karanović, and I Am Not Here, directed by Sara Radusinović, arrive from the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka, while Neither Sunny Nor Cloudy by director Anvar Nijemčević was created at the Sarajevo Film Academy.
This selection is a continuation of the promotion of films from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the well-established cooperation we nurture with Zagreb Film Festival.
