In a compact keynote discussion, Soňa Morgenthalová will guide the audience through the two MIDPOINT flagship programs for project development of first and second feature films, as well as television and webseries – Feature Launch and TV Launch. If there’s a story flowing around your head, join us to figure out what steps you can make to build it up! The discussion is moderated by Vladan Petković.

MIDPOINT is a training and networking platform for script and project development operating under the auspices of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. It is aimed at creative teams of writers, directors and producers from Central and Eastern Europe. MIDPOINT operates as a year-long center that organizes a wide range of programs.

SOŇA MORGENTHALOVÁ

She studied Film Studies and Audiovisual Culture at Masaryk University in Brno and attended several internships during her studies, including The Czech Television and Stillking Films production company. She worked as a TV news reporter (2011–2012) and as a PR manager focusing mainly on cultural and film promotion (2013–2014). After moving to Prague in 2015, she started to work in a casting agency on several international projects such as Underworld: Blood Wars, The Death & Life of John F. Donovan and Ophelia or TV series Britannia and Knightfall (2015–2017). She joined MIDPOINT in July 2017.
