Anne (Trine Dyrholm – In a Better World, 2010) is a successful but unscrupulous lawyer specialising in child and youth cases. She lives happily married to Peter and their two daughters. However, her work and family bliss is shattered when Peter’s troubled teenage son from a previous marriage, Gustav, comes to live with them. Kicked out of school and cast away by his mother, Gustav refuses to bond with his father. Experienced Anne manages to connect to her stepson but in the end seduces him. Her act will set off a whirlwind of events with unimaginable consequences. The film is Denmark’s Oscar contender and it premiered at Sundance where it won the Audience Award.
