When seriously ill teenager Milla (Eliza Scanlen – Sharp Objects) falls in love with Moses, a small-time dealer with a mullet haircut and tattooed face, it’s her parents’ (Ben Mendelsohn – Animal Kingdom, Essie Davis – Babadook) worst nightmare. But the budding romance lends Milla a new lust for life so her parents throw caution out the window and let things take their course. A potential catastrophe turns into glorious chaos in which the Finlay family and their eccentric friends will learn to let go and enjoy life’s curveballs. For the role of Moses, Tobby Wallace received the Marcello Mastroianni Award for best young actor at Venice Film Festival.
